Urgent update for those people in Ecuador worried about their Visas

Saturday 21 March the Ministerio has announced they are extending the term of the visas as of 19 March 2020. Once the emergency is over you will have 30 days to make the applications, extensions or receive the visas. No fines or penalties will be imposed. This "hold" is expected to last until May 2020. So for now, please stay inside and do not worry about your status here as an immigrant.

They did not address those in the USA or other countries but I believe they will “forgive” any files or penalties and when there is someone to speak with I will try to verify that information.
